Love is in the air!! All I see up and down my social media pages are couple in lust love. I am sure that most of them are in lust … but who am I to judge?

I am a sucker for love; unfortunately none of my previous romantic partners shared my passion for GRAND GESTURES. I guess I could blame all the romance novels that I read and the movies that I watch.

A Girls Guide To D.I.Y

The weekend before last a friend of mine invited me to a GIRLS NIGHT IN party that she was throwing. No one really felt like going “out” that weekend but we still wanted to get together and have a good time, so this was perfect.

The plan was for us to meet for facials and Mani’s/Pedi’s, grab a bite to eat, stop at Wal-Mart to get matching jammies, then head over to Alicia’s house for drinks.

We got caught up on everyone’s work/school life while we were getting the Mani’s/Pedi’s and we got caught up on everyone’s family life over dinner. When we got back to Alicia’s house and the drinks started flowing that’s when we had TEA.

Alicia invited people from her job, school, her book club, and a few people from her home town. It was about 20 of us total. Some of us knew each other well, and others not so much.

Before the drinks were made the conversation was either dry and bland or those that knew each other were sitting amongst themselves chatting it up while the strangers were Facebooking.

Those of you who know me know I couldn’t have that!  We were supposed to be interacting with one another and having a good time. So Alicia and I made frozen drinks for the ladies who weren’t really drinkers and we gave shot gasses to the other ladies.

I suggested that we play a drinking game to start things off. The game that I suggested was 

“NEVER HAVE I EVER…”

HOW TO PLAY:

  1.    You get together in a circle  

  

  2.  One person says “NEVER HAVE I EVER…” and that person says something that they have never done before…

  

  3.  If other people in the group have done it… they take a shot.

  4.  Then the next person repeats the process

I went first…

“NEVER HAVE I EVER…. Slept with two men at the same time”

Honeyyyyyyy you should have seen their faces!!!! Their mouths dropped and couldn’t believe that I went there.

Everyone’s eyes scanned the room to see who would take the first shot… to our surprise Alicia was the first, then Amber, Tasha, and Kasey. We spent the next hour talking about the details of their steamy past.

We went around the room and some of the NEVER HAVE I EVERS was sexual in nature and others weren’t.

NEVER HAVE I EVER… been camping.

I looked at Denise in disbelief. Did she really just say what I think she said?? One after another ladies around the room started to drink. I could not believe what I was seeing.

Kick back in the tub and relax. Clear your mind. Enjoy the music.

  5.  Rub your body down with your fav Bath and Body Works or Victoria Secrets body butter.

How to Build Your Black Box on a Budget

Before I begin, let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of SAFE CONSENTUAL SEX BETWEEN ADULTS. Please use these tips, tricks, and ideas responsibly.

I am all for doing new and exciting things in the bedroom, but I don’t always have the money to do the extravagant over the top ideas that I have. So I have to get creative. If you follow me on social media then you know that I often talk about a “black box” that I keep hidden in my bedroom (so the kids won’t find it). This “Black Box” is where I store all of my adult goodies. I didn’t go out and spend an arm and a leg to build my “Black Box”. I didn’t build my “Black Box” overnight. Most of the items in my “Black Box” are things that I already had in the house or they were purchased at the Dollar Store or Wal-Mart. Your “Black Box” should include things that you and your partner are into.

For those of you who do not have a “Black Box”, let me help you get a few ideas so you can build your own.

Condoms: There are plenty of condoms to choose from. Flavored condoms, Ribbed for her pleasure, Colored condoms, Latex condoms, Lambskin condoms (although lambskin “feels” better, they are NOT as effective against STD’s or PREVENTING pregnancy), and Female condoms.

Black/Red Light Bulb: You can find this at your local Wal-Mart between $2.00 and $3.00

Candles/Tea Lights: I usually get the unscented ones from the Dollar Store.

Blindfold: You can use a scarf you already have on hand or you can find and use a sleep mask from the Dollar Store (found in the bath/beauty section).

Baby Oil: You can also get this from your local Dollar Store if you don’t have any on hand.

Wig: I ordered a wig online once that I was not too fond of once I received it. So I wear it when I want to come to bed as “someone else”.

Lubricants: Like the many varieties of condoms, there are a variety of lubricants. Water based, Warming, Flavored, Sensitive skin, and His & Her.

Music: Gone are the days of the slow jam tapes and mixed cd’s. Now everyone has music on their iPods, phones & MP3 players. Make a playlist of the songs you want to play during your “adult extracurricular activities, or create a station on Pandora.

Heels: Ladies, let’s be honest, we all have that one pair of heels that we thought were super cute/sexy and we bought them not knowing that they hurt like hell. Now they are sitting in your closet collecting dust. These are your “Black Box” heels. You won’t be wearing them long, and if you are… you will be looking up at them (wink).

Lingerie: If you have some already, that’s great. If not then don’t feel as if you have to run out and buy some. Let’s use what you already have in the house. Do you have matching panties and bras, your lovers button down shirt, a wife beater and boy shorts, a t-shirt that comes down a bit past your waist to your upper thigh? Pair one of these with your heels and you will be good to go. If you do not have any of these items, then your heels and your smile will work wonders (wink).

Perfume: We get perfume and body spray for every holiday and just because. Some we wear daily, some we don’t wear at all. The ones that you don’t wear at all can be your “Black Box” perfume. If you only wear that scent for your extra-curricular activities then every time your mate smells that scent they will think of you and be ready to “play”.
